Thai hospital receives several injured from Myanmar

According to the information from the Thai Defense Ministry, as of March 30, 2,897 people have taken refuge in Mae Hong Son province. Out of all, 2,352 returned to their homeland and 545 others remain at the fringes of the border on the Thai side.

Seven people injured from violence in Myanmar on Tuesday were allowed to cross the border into Thailand to receive medical treatment, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Six ambulances of Sop Moei Hospitlal in Mae Hong Son province picked them up at the border and carried them to the hospital.

Thousands of people fled Myanmar over the weekend following air strikes on villages near the border held by an armed ethnic group.

The refugees said they were willing to move back to the Myanmar side today. However, children, the elderly and ill people have been taken care and are staying in a safe place. (TNA)
