She came – saw and conquered -wherever she went! Cristina Bien!
This multi-talented woman from the Philippines, did a lot and all she did was a success!
Her career as singer began beginning oft he 90tis as lead Vocalist in an English band, with whom she toured the Middle East, Dubai, Oman and of course the Philippines.
Between 1994 and 2006 Cristina was an sought-after solo singer at special functions and galas in the countries where her French husband, Laurent Betourne, worked as general manager in hotels.
These were besides the Philippines, Cambodia, China and Thailand, where I met her. She performed also in in-between and after Thailand in Hungary, Egypt, France, and Poland where she was extremely successful.
She won 2006 the Music Media Contest in Aix en Province, France with the song „Broken Vow“. Only a few months later the same year, she took part at the Przystanek Woodstock Music Festival in Kostryn Nad Odra, Poland, where she was the backup singer for Justyna Steczkowska. Again, in the same year she reached second place at the Idee Hall Contest in Avignon, France. Back in Poland she won the hearts of the audience of the Szansa na Sukces Contest and received the most votes from the public.
In 2012 the family moved to Egypt and Cristina gave many concerts there as well, yet she always went back to Poland to continue her career there.
Cristina came back during all those year also to Thailand – as a private person. Even though she valued her career, she favored her family, her husband and her three children above all else.
Yet, the music and the art, her second big love after hubby Laurent, always got the better of her. So in 2017 she took part of the Reality Show “Dancing on Ice with a star”. She had to learn for two months how to dance on ice and the show was another big success.
At the beginning of 2019 they went to Budapest, where she performed in a Super Show at the Moulin Rouge Budapest. Of course, she went also back to Poland to tour the country.
Now she and Laurent are back in Pattaya for at least one and a half years – or maybe longer. One of her sons studies in England, the second son has a great career as pianist bevor head. Only her youngest child, a daughter, Charlotte, 18, is with her in Pattaya and a singer like her mom.
Both, mother and daughter, are performing at the big Rotary Charity Music Festival at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel on Easter Sunday, 4. April 2021 from 12.30 p.m. onwards. An Event not to be missed.
