Re: Thai woman to travel in space (PM Monday, 10 February 2014) – Stop in space? Not quite – the upper portion of the trajectory amounts to a glide where the vehicle reaches maximum altitude before starting the descent toward landing. In order to “stop” there would need to be additional thrust to “hold the position against the pull of gravity”. They will be “ballistic” – just like throwing a rock into the air.
