The Center of Excellence in Clinical Virology confirmed that the SARS-CoV-2 strain that is spreading amongst the Thonglor cluster is the UK strain using the Specific probe Real Time RT-PCR test to confirm.
This strain is said to spread 1.7 times faster from the original strain or also known as the Wild type.
