The cream of women’s golf will be assembling in Pattaya next week for the Honda LPGA Thailand 2014, being held from February 20-23 at Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course.
The leading 60 players on the 2014 LPGA Priority List and 10 invites will compete in the 72-hole stroke play tournament with no cut, to win a share of the prize purse of 1.5 million USD (46 million THB). In addition, the first player to secure a hole-in-one on the Par-3, 16th hole will be awarded a new Honda Accord 2.4 EL, worth 1.66 million THB.
South Korea’s Inbee Park will be back to defend her title at the 2014 Honda LPGA Thailand.
Star names taking part this year include defending champion Inbee Park, Suzann Pettersen, and Stacy Lewis, who are currently sitting first, second, and third in world rankings; Ai Miyazato, the 2010 winner; Paula Creamer; Jessica Korda, who is the latest Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic champion; and top-performing Thai professionals Moriya Jutanugarn and Pornanong Phatlum. New Zealand teenage sensation Lydia Ko, Mamiko Higa, Ariya Jutanugarn and Supamas Sangchan will also join the tournament.
This is the eight staging of the Honda LPGA Thailand with all previous editions being held here in Pattaya. Last year’s event saw record crowds with 47,932 spectators attending all 4 days and over 20,000 turning out for the final round.
The micro site www. hondalpga.com will be available for golf fans to stay updated on news and activities throughout the tournament and will feature online quizzes with the chance to win premium Honda gift sets autographed by the golfers.
Honda will also build a fun zone adjacent to the clubhouse featuring a range of exciting activities for spectators, including a Honda Golf School to learn techniques from professional golfers, a putting contest to win prizes, and a photo corner where you can take souvenir photos to preserve memories of the tournament.

Ticket prices are 300 baht for Thursday and Friday, 400 baht for Saturday and 500 baht for Sunday. A 4-day pass is also available at 800 baht.
