Sunday, Feb. 16, Green Vallay – Stableford
Now that his brother Jim and sister-in-law Mary have gone home, it was Terry Kelly’s turn today to help the family fortunes by winning the A Flight with an excellent thirty nine points and a clear four points ahead of Joe McArdle in second, with Alec Hoare taking third place a further point back.
In B Flight Sean Hallahan was the winner with thirty five points, one ahead of Joe Cuddy in second who beat Gilbert Brossnan on a count back.
Tony Pike recorded the only ‘2 of the day to scoop the pot.

Tuesday, Feb. 18, Pattaya Country Club – Stableford
We were back at Pattaya Country Club today after a very long absence and everyone was very pleased with the noticeable improvements to the course. One man in particular was very happy with it; Gerry Doyle made it look very easy by scoring forty four points to be a clear winner. After that the scores were a lot more modest with Joe McArdle, Don Byrne and George Cullen finishing in that order on count back after they all recorded thirty-six points each. Joe Cuddy completed the podium in fifth with thirty five.

Because of the number of ladies we had out we decided to do a separate flight for them and this was won by Theresa Connolly with thirty three points ahead of Pauline Byrne in second with twenty eight.

Thursday, Feb. 20, Pattavia Century – Stableford
On Thursday we divided up our group with some going to Pattavia and some going to Leam Chabang. Pattavia was in very good condition but unfortunately the new club house is still not ready. However everyone were very happy with it and we were very lucky that we got around without any rain even though it looked like it a few times.
Terry Kelly took the top spot with thirty eight points followed closely by John Kelly with thirty seven. George Cullen was third with thirty five and Paal Anderssen came fourth on thirty four.
We had five ‘2’s today from Joe McArdle (2), Paal Anderssen (2) and John Fenwick.

Thursday, Feb. 20, Leam Chabang – Stableford
Our second group went to Leam Chabang today where they played the B and difficult C courses. While it was raining heavily when we were leaving The Tara Court and some of our players were having doubts about going, by the time we got to the golf course it had stopped and it turned out a perfect day for golf, not too hot.
Gilbert Brossnan was the man of the day winning with thirty five points ahead of Andy Galvin in second and Joe Cuddy third.
There were no ‘2’s recorded here today.
