Deputy Mayor Manote Nongyai said residents who received their first coronavirus vaccine jabs last month will get their second shots June 10-11.

Pattaya residents who received their first coronavirus vaccine jabs last month will get their second shots June 10-11.

Originally scheduled for June 3-4, the Public Health Ministry delayed the second shots based on guidance that doses should be spaced three weeks apart, Deputy Mayor Manote Nongyai said June 4. All the second doses are in hand, so the delay was not caused by a vaccine shortage, he said.

Second doses will be administered at the same locations where people received their first, Manote said, whether that is Pattaya Hospital, Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium or Pong Subdistrict office.

On the same days as second doses of the Chinese-made CoronaVac vaccine are administered, Pattaya Hospital also will be giving out the first doses of the AstraZeneca PLC vaccines made in Thailand by Siam Bioscience Co.

Sonthaya did not specify how many doses of AstraZeneca’s CoronaShield will be available.
