Loy Krathong festivities organized by the Public Relations Department (PRD) this year have already started at the PRD headquarters on Soi Aree, Bangkok.

The event features some 150 booths selling food, beverages, desserts, and other items at an affordable price, including health supplies from the Government Pharmaceutical Organization, OTOP products, and products from small businesses. Payments made via the government’s economic aid campaigns are all accepted.

Strict measures against COVID-19 are implemented for health and safety. Upon entry, visitors to the event must register their visit on the Thai Chana platform by scanning a QR code, have their temperature screened, use hand sanitizers, and wear a sticker provided. Everyone at the venue is required to wear a mask at all times.

Vendors at the event are also required to adhere to social distancing regulations, including the installation of plastic partitions between booths.

The PRD’s Loy Krathong event is taking place until Saturday Nov 20. Visitors can also enjoy various performances and observe the Thai tradition of floating Krathong baskets, all in one place. (NNT)
