The YWCA Bangkok-Pattaya Center and Jesters Care for Kids donated household items and baby supplies to mothers and children being held at the Pattaya Remand Prison.

The “Threads of Love” project supports children and the elderly in Pattaya. Among the recipients of donations are the Banglamung Home for the Elderly and underprivileged children living with inmate mothers at the Nong Plalai prison, said Y.W.C.A. Chairwoman Praichit Jetpai.

Items donated to the prison were diapers, baby powder, baby shampoo, clothes, mattresses and more.

Remand Prison Warden Pracha Nakatit accepted the donations, thanking the two groups. He said the prison operates on a small budget insufficient to support everyone, so the facility always is in need of medicine, soap, toothpaste, books and other staples.
