Crowds jammed the Chonburi Land Transport Office last week trying to get a driver’s license before the department’s new, tougher driving test came into use June 2.
The driving exam now will include 50 questions, up from the previous 30 questions. And the questions will be randomized from a master list of 1,000 questions.
The Chonburi Land Transport Office was crowded with license applicants last week, trying to get their licenses before the new, harder tests took effect.
Department Director Kosin Weeranantanapan said twice the usual number of applicants crowded into the office May 30, as many were leery of the longer test and increased difficulty.
Kosin said drivers can still prepare for the exam using a four-hour study course on the department’s website at dlt.go.th. The 1,000-question prep test was prepared in cooperation with Pattaya Technical College and Sattahip Technical College.
Both colleges also are offering training classes each weekend. Exams can be scheduled at provincial Land Transport offices nationwide once the study course is complete.
