Nongprue workers chopped down a large, dead mango tree before it could fall on someone.
Deputy Mayor Wanchai Sanngam observed as Disaster Prevention and Mitigation staffers used heavy machinery to disassemble the 50-year-old tree in a resident’s yard.
Getting the government to remove a dead tree proved far cheaper than hiring a contractor to do it.
