The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration encouraged eligible voters to cast their votes in the elections of the new Bangkok governor and Bangkok councilors on May22, expecting a turnout of at least 70%.
Khachit Chatchawanit, permanent secretary of the BMA, launched six convoys to campaign for the elections. They included a convoy of city inspectors’ vehicles and the processions of vintage cars and beautiful motorcycles which were deployed to attract public attention.
Besides, the offices of 50 Bangkok districts planned their continuous election campaign activities.
Mr Khachit said that ballots would be completely published within May 12 and their designs would be publicized later.
Pink ballots will be used for the election of Bangkok councilors and brown ballots for the Bangkok gubernatorial election.
