Mayor-elect Poramet Ngampichet and former mayor Sonthaya Kunplome together with the group’s 24 city council candidates rolled through the city in a caravan to thank voters for trusting them to govern Pattaya.

Although their election is not official, candidates from the Rao Rak Pattaya group paraded through Pattaya to thank the public for their votes.

Mayoral candidate Poramet Ngampichet, former mayor Sonthaya Kunplome and the group’s 24 city council candidates rolled through the city May 24 in a caravan to thank voters for trusting them to be responsible for developing Pattaya, solving problems and developing the area according to four goals and 15 policies outlined during the campaign.

The Election Commission has not certified the results for any of the candidates and Pattaya withdrew the unofficial vote totals Sunday after ballot sheets were discovered missing at two polling stations and an ineligible voter was given a sheet at another.

The Election Commission has not ruled on the irregularities.
Nonetheless, Rao Rak Pattaya is operating on the assumption that it won a clean sweep of the mayor and all 24 council races.

Pattaya constituents congratulate Poramet Nampichet on his election victory to become the next mayor of Pattaya.
