SOUTHERN, 6 August 2014 – The Secondary Education Service Area Office 16, the Bureau of Educational Development for the Special Administration Zone in the Southern Office of the Basic Education Commission has launched “Scouting for ASEAN” the 10th Thai – ASEAN Community Scout Jamboree 2014” in cooperation with Hat Yai Municipality. The event takes place during the 5th to 9th August 2014 at Hat Yai boy-scout camp, Hat Yai Municipal Park, Songkhla Province.
Yesterday, Dr Kamol Rodklai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, presided over the opening ceremony of the 10th southern border province Thai – ASEAN Community Scout Jamboree 2014 which included boy-scouts from 5 southern provinces and neighboring countries in ASEAN.
The event is held in order to instill morals and ethics in children and youths and increase life experience and also tighten relationships among the neighboring countries in ASEAN for the upcoming AEC.
