We had Bruce Gladden, Mike Johns and John Graham all within just one point of each other in the ‘golfer of the month’ competition, but, in the last game of the month, the pressure must have gotten to them as none of them got in the frame today, leaving Mike Johns as the monthly winner for the first time ever!
Nile Sheehan took the honours today, beating Reg Smart on a count-back, both of these won a near pin each and as only two greens were hit, it was quite a successful day for them.

Wednesday, June 1, Phoenix – Stableford
The start of a new month and playing a Medal round for a change old campaigner Mashi showed his consistency by winning by one stroke ahead of John Graham, who beat Tony Robbins on a count-back for second.
Reg Smart, Colin Stokes, Mashi and Tony Robbins split the near pins between them.

Friday, June 3, Crystal Bay – Stableford
Tony Robbins has had two third place finishes this week but he stole the show today at Crystal Bay. Tony won by a clear four points ahead of Takeshi Hakozaki (playing on his home course), who beat Geoff Cox on a count-back.
Near pin winners today were Takeshi, John Graham, and Geoff Cox with two.
