Jesters Care for Kids Charity Drive 2014 –  Sponsored by Glencore International and Canadian Jackalope Open

Our main focus is on our annual September events now, which are nearly upon us. Yet, at the same time, we continue our fund-raising for the benefit of underprivileged kids, who need shelter free of abuse, scholarships for school and special learning for the handicapped. If you are interested in helping, please go to [email protected].

Our Jesters Children’s Fair is 17 days

from now!

Our fair is just over two weeks from now at the Regents International School Pattaya. Specifically, the site for the fair will be on the grassy oval amid the spacious grounds of the school on Sunday, September 7th, starting at 10 a.m. Shuttle buses will be available on the day from Central Pattaya in front of the Father Ray Foundation on Sukhumvit Highway.

For those interested in booking fair stalls, please act soon as they are going quickly. The fee is 2000 baht and payment can be made at: Fountain of Life Center, Krung Thai Bank, Pattaya Klang, account no. 227-1-36586-4, KRTHTHBK. Once you have done this, please send an email to: fairsitecoordinator@care 4kids.info.

Rock concert is planned for the Fair!

We call it the ‘Children’s Fair’, but actually there is something for all ages. Typically on fair day, the toddlers perform in the morning, teen bands in the afternoon and, at the end of the day, a rock concert for the adults. This year we will extend that time slot for the latter from 4:30 p.m. until closing. The headliner will be Slow Ride featuring dynamic lead singer, Mary.

Jesters provide wheelchair for 11-year old boy

In the meantime, we recently presented a wheelchair to Nathawat, an 11-year old handicapped boy, who cannot walk. Previously he had a wheelchair but, besides being rickety, he had out grown it too, compelling his mother to try and carry him around.

Jesters Gala Party Night follows the Fair 13 days later

The second event is our Gala Party Night, which is on Saturday, September 20th at the Amari Orchid Pattaya. This sit-down buffet dinner affair, which includes complementary wine/beer, entertainment, auctions and grand raffle drawings, has been a hit with the community.

Tables are filling fast, so if you would like to book a place the cost is 2400 baht. Please contact: [email protected].

Ways you can still help now:

* You can become a corporate or individual sponsor. This continues to be the primary source of our fund-raising year round.

* You can buy grand raffle tickets ahead of our Gala Party Night, as well as make bids on our current auction through our website.

* You can donate a case of canned beer to the Jesters Beer Tent. Your donation will increase in value as the beer is sold on the day of the fair. Beer sales typically cover the entire setup cost for the event. If interested, please go to http://www.care4kids .info/events/childrens-fair.html.
