Bangkok-Sungai Kolok locomotive riddled with bullets

The incident happened to the locomotive number 4506 on the far southern track between Balo and Ruso railway stations and it had Piman Mitsuwan as its driver and Himgam Yuso as its engineer while bullets hit the windshield and the interior of the locomotive.

The rapid train number 171 running from Bangkok to Sungai Kolok was fired with multiple shots.

Its driver and engineer were miraculously unscathed in the damaged locomotive and no one else was injured.

The State Railway of Thailand right away suspended the services of all expressway trains between Bangkok and Sungai Kolok district of Narathiwat and all commuter trains to the Sungai Kolok station. Passengers can seek refunds at local railway stations. (TNA)
