Business operators and officials had to take safety issues seriously because the matter had great impacts on confidence when it was reported in other countries, he said.
“Officials must find those responsible and the cause and help victims as soon as possible,” the prime minister said.

Business operators and officials had to take safety issues seriously because the matter had great impacts on confidence when it was reported in other countries, Gen. Prayut said.

Such a tragedy had happened at Santika pub in Bangkok in 2009, so operators would have to comply strictly with all regulations and laws that governed building decorations, fire exits and entrances among others, Gen Prayut said.
“Officials are checking if the pub can open in the zone and the Interior Ministry will check such places nationwide,” he said. (TNA)
