The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has launched special clinics to treat people with long COVID symptoms in nine hospitals across Bangkok.

According to Dr Suksan Kittisupakorn, director of the BMA’s Medical Service Department, people who still have symptoms after recovering from COVID-19 for weeks or months should seek an early diagnosis and treatment. Symptoms can include chronic fatigue, shortness of breath, headache, diarrhea, chest pain or discomfort, impaired concentration or memory problems. One of the symptoms doctors are concerned about is breathing difficulties, which could be caused by scarring or other long-term damage to a patient’s lungs.

People with these long COVID conditions are advised to visit special BMA clinics at the following hospitals:
– Taksin Hospital
– Lat Krabang Hospital
– Sirindhorn Hospital
– Charoen Krung Pracharak Hospital
– Ratchaphiphat Hospital
– Bang Khun Thian Geriatric Hospital
– BMA General Hospital (Klang Hospital)
– Luang Phor Taweesak Chutinataro Uthit Hospital
– Wetchakarunrasm Hospital

The clinics are open Monday through Thursday during regular hospital hours, and appointments can be scheduled through the Bangkok Fast & Clear (BFC) system. The BMA also intends to launch online diagnosis and treatment via the MorBMA mobile telemedicine application in the future. (NNT)
