Pattaya added more benches to the newly tented waiting area at Bali Hai Pier.
Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn and city parks department staffers brought 17 sturdy, weatherproof benches to the two tents on Bali Hai’s Pier A, from where Koh Larn ferries depart and arrive.
The benches supplement two tents the city put up last week after social media complaints about thousands of tourists having to wait in the hot sun.
Wuthisak also instructed pier security to roust vendors setting up booths to sell products to tourists.
