The “prude police” were out in force this weekend, tut-tutting about foreigners playing around on Jomtien Beach Road in only swimsuits in a beach town.
Shirtless men in their 50s were exercising or just relaxing. Prudish locals complained to police they found the display inappropriate and that they should all cover up, with some ridiculously calling it a violation of obscenity laws.
Police politely nodded to the moaners and went on their way without taking any further action.
