1st Cabinet meeting might take place on 9 Sept

BANGKOK, 2 September 2014  – The first Prayuth Chano-cha Cabinet meeting will likely take place on 9 September before the government delivers a policy statement to the National Legislative Assembly (NLA). Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said the Cabinet would work immediately after it swore in.

On 2 September, deputy spokesperson of the army Col.Sirichan Nga-thong said Prime Minister Prayuth ordered a Cabinet meeting room at Government House prepared before 9 September where the first Cabinet meeting would likely take place.

Gen.Prayuth also assigned Deputy Minister of Transport Arkhom Termpitayapaisit to work on the government’s policy statement with the focus on the economy and quality of life of the people. The premier said the policy statement would use simple and direct to the point language for easy understanding.
