A Pattaya man who left his Apple iPhone in the basket of his motorbike while shopping unsurprisingly returned to find it stolen.
Kittitat Kaewsri, 30, admitted he forgot the phone in the basket when he stopped at a cosmetics store in South Pattaya to buy makeup before joining the Pattaya Festival fancy costume parade. Once he discovered it was stolen, he asked the shopkeeper to see his security camera footage.
The video showed a woman in her 50s leaving the makeup shop and joining a man in his 50s. The man grabbed the phone and the two rode off.
The phone was worth about 30,000 baht, Kittitat said. He filed a theft report with Pattaya police.
