Nongprue’s new community board were given instructions on rules and responsibilities in order to take better care of locals in the sub-district’s 44 communities.
The 44-member board was supposed to begin work at the end of June, but were prohibited from doing to so by the National Council on Peace and Order’s ban against political meetings. The country’s military regime later gave its blessing, allowing the community panel to be seated.
Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit outlines objectives to all 44 communities board members.
Banglamung District Chief Sakchai Taengho and Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit officiated over the training Sept. 13 for the board, 35 members of which ran unopposed.
