Pattaya Walking Street is beginning to look like the entertainment center that tourists from around the world have come to know and love.

Indians and Thais filled Pattaya over the four-day weekend.
Hotels reported occupancy rates of 50-70% during the Oct. 13-16 holiday around King Rama IX Memorial Day.

While Indians booked well in advance, Thais tended to show up on the spot, which made final numbers for the weekend look better than projections.

While Thais tended to stick to beach areas and Thai pubs, Walking Street was left for Thai tour groups and Indians. Many bars and restaurants are now modifying their offerings to appeal to the South Asians.

Beaches were busy with Thai families as schools currently are in recess.

Many bars and restaurants in Walking Street and around Pattaya are modifying their offerings to appeal to a new breed of tourists young and old.
