Falling tree crushes car stopped at Central Pattaya traffic light

A large tree came crashing down on a Honda Civic car stopped at the traffic lights on Pattaya Central Road crushing it. lady driver was only slightly injured.

A Pattaya motorists suffered only minor injuries when a large tree fell on her car.
Thanaphon Jantarakunanon, 35, was more shaken than hurt when the tree dropped on the hood and roof of her Honda City as it waited at a light on Central Road Oct. 23. A Toyota Fortuner also suffered minor damage.

Thanaphon said she was out running an errand and stopped normally at the light when she heard the sound of the tree cracking and then the crash on her car.



She was more concerned about finding out who to bill for the damage as the old tree was on public property.

Pattaya street workers and volunteers closed outbound Central Road-Sukhumvit Road intersection to cut the branches off and slice up the tree for removal, accomplishing the task in 20 minutes.


Thanaphon Jantarakunanon, the lady driver was stunned and slightly injured in the freak accident when the old tree fell on her car at Central Pattaya traffic lights.


Pattaya volunteers closed outbound Central Road and had the uprooted old tree cut up and removed withing 20 minutes.
