The minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office has reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting this week. He also acknowledged that the presentation of the Thai identity at APEC 2022 will, directly and indirectly, generate economic value for the Thai economy.
Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Anucha Nakasai visited the media center on LG floor at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The center is being used by press members from all 21 APEC economies throughout the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week. It
Mr. Anucha engaged the Public Relations Department director-general as well as representatives from MCOT Plc. and the foreign affairs ministry in a discussion about media affairs for APEC. The minister received a briefing on the Public Relations Department’s work to publicize APEC 2022. He also received an explanation of space usage and workflow within the media center.
The center is fitted with press working areas, two news conference rooms, and two smaller briefing rooms. Refreshments are provided in the dining area. A host broadcaster and international broadcaster operations area as well as a news agencies’ operations area, or media booths, are available.
The Mass Communication Organization of Thailand (MCOT) is the host broadcaster for the 2022 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week. It provides audiovisual, video, and audio feeds of the APEC meetings and events.
Mr. Anucha expressed his satisfaction with the preparedness of all parties in hosting the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. He added their efforts will create good impressions and portray Thailand’s identity through many means. This would result in both direct and indirect economic gains of great value.
The minister then conversed with press members from Thailand and abroad who were covering APEC events at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. (NNT)
