The Thailand Industrial Fair is held at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani exhibition center in Nonthaburi Province, promoting Thai products and businesses while featuring a wide range of items at affordable prices.
The launching of the event was presided over by Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha.
The industrial fair is geared towards general consumers through the sales of locally made items from some 1,200 manufacturers. The event also features workshops and exhibitions aimed at inspiring attendees to start their own business.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Gen Prayut said the government has been providing economic aid and stimuli to mitigate the economic impact of the global pandemic.
He also said the government is committed to strengthening grassroots economies, with a particular focus on human development through occupational workshops that help participants generate income from employment and self-reliance.
The Thailand Industrial Fair final day is on Sunday (4 Dec) while the Ministry of Industry expects the event to generate no less than 500 million baht. (NNT)
