BANGKOK, Oct 8 China’s ambassador to Thailand Ning Fukui has met Deputy Prime Minister/Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan to strengthen ties and cooperation in all aspects between the two countries.
The ambassador on Wednesday paid a courtersy call to Gen Prawit on occasion of his taking his new post at the Defense Ministry.
After the meeting, Gen Prawit said they discussed cooperation, particularly training. Thailand has sent military personnel to study in China on a continuous basis.
The two countries focus on extending their mutual security cooperation including the exchange at all levels including intelligence.
Joint drills and defense industry cooperation also boost ties and understanding between the two sides.
