BANGKOK, 9 Oct National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) Secretary-General Thakorn Tantasit has demonstrated the exchange of coupons for set-top boxes at service counters.
The demonstration was part of a public relations campaign ahead of the NBTC’s mailing out of 4.64 million discount coupons to 21 provinces nationwide.
The coupons will be mailed out Friday (Oct 10) and users can begin to exchange them from October 20th onwards, and for the next 6 months.
The coupons will knock 690 baht off the purchase of a digital TV with an internal receiver, or iDTV, and purchases of related equipment, such as antennas and set-top boxes.
At least 168 service counters will be set up in each province to facilitate the exchanges.
