BANGKOK, 10 October 2014 The Interior Ministry is taking a nationwide approach to combating drug problems. Many government units involved have been told to do their best to eradicate narcotic abuse.
In a meeting between officials from the Justice Ministry and the Interior Ministry, provincial governors and local administration offices across Thailand have been told to implement a drug eradication plan in a coordinated effort. The details were disclosed during the meeting that was also joined by the National Command Center for Combating Drugs representatives.
Provincial governors and local administrative staff will have to assess the drug eradication progress in their provinces. They should also try to overcome any obstacles, as this is a national concern.
