Navy commander-in-chief Adm Choengchai Chomchoengpaet formed a committee to probe the sinking of HTMS Sukhothai.
Navy spokesman Adm Pokkrong Monthatpalin said the panel comprised two sub-committees. One would investigate the cause of the sinking and the other sub-committee would review the corvette abandonment and evacuation procedures to see if they went by the book.
The spokesman also said that HTMS Naresuan retrieved another body of personnel aboard HTMS Sukhothai this morning. The body would be brought to Bang Saphan district of Prachuap Khiri Khan for identification. (TNA)
