Bangkok police press charges against Bentley driver

Pol.Lt.Col. Pichet Kornphaeng, deputy superintendent, Traffic Police Expresway1said that initially, the Bentley driver will take all responsibility and will pay compensation for damage and injuries as a result of his action.

The police pressed charges against the Bentley driver for reckless driving that causes damage and injuries to others after the accident, which involved three vehicles on an expressway early Sunday.

The driver was sent to Police General Hospital to undergo a blood alcohol test, which is more accurate than an alcohol breath test. The result of the blood test will be known in 3-7 days.
More charge related to drunk driving could be pressed against him, depending on the test result, he added.

He confirmed that the police had collected and checked all evidence at the scene including a bottle of wine found in the Bentley sedan.



The vehicle crashed into a brand-new Mitsubishi Pajero, sending it out of control to hit a fire truck on the Chaloem Maha Nakhon expressway at 1 a.m. on Sunday in Bangkok. Many people were injured. (TNA)
