Pattaya congratulated windsurfers who participated in and boosted the reputation of Thailand at the recently held Asian Games in South Korea.

Former Culture Minister Sonthaya Khunplome, along with Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and Pattana Bunsawad, secretary of the Thailand Windsurfing Association, saluted the silver and bronze-winning windsurfers.

To motivate and build the morale of windsurfers and jet-ski racers, the Mayor organized a welcome-home party at Jomtien Beach on Oct. 19.  Thailand sent four athletes and two trainers to Incheon for 40 days for both training and the games.  They brought home four medals.
