Rotarians and lawyers deliver toiletries to Pattaya prison on International Women’s Day

Two local Rotary clubs joined the Lawyers Council of Pattaya on a visit to Pattaya Remand Prison on International Women’s Day.

Members from the Rotary clubs of Pattaya Marina and Sattahip brought 40,000 baht in toiletries and clothing to women at the Nong Plalai prison March 8.



Pattaya Marina Club President Saowanee Thongkum and Sattahip President Termsak Poonyawithitwanich joined Lawyers Council head Thanaset Tumthong brought soap, toothbrushes, detergent, sanitary pads, underwear and more to the female inmates.

Warden Thanakrit Kaewboonthong welcomed the Rotarians and thanked them for the donation.
Pattaya Remand Prison currently houses 2,000 inmates, 10% of whom are women. Most inmates can’t secure such personal items unless they are brought by family members.
