Chinese KOLs livestream travel experiences in Phuket, Krabi and Phang-nga

Via Beijing-based Chinese short video-sharing mobile app Kuaishou, highlighting a vast array of quality tourism experiences on offer in Phuket, Krabi and Phang-nga.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Kuaishou Technology brought Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from China to livestream a “Travel Adventures Thailand Episode” series in Phuket, Krabi and Phang-nga via Kuaishou, from 15-24 March.

Mr. Tanes Petsuwan, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and South Pacific, said “The activity forms part of the TAT’s ongoing efforts in China to further build market confidence, and to reiterate that Thailand remains a preferred destination for Chinese travellers. The livestreaming presents a perfect opportunity for us to enhance the awareness of the ‘Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters’ campaign.”



TAT is working with Kuaishou, the Beijing-based Chinese short video-sharing mobile app, in facilitating travel for the invited 20 KOLs and some 50 crew members from China. The aim is to promote a variety of quality tourism products and services in Phuket, Krabi and Phang-nga through the “Travel Adventures Thailand Episode” livestreaming activity.

The trip highlights exclusivity and excellence which cater to the current lifestyles of different Chinese travel segments such as hyper millennials, families, workation, and silver luxury. The livestream content features a vast variety of travel experiences on offer in Southern Thailand, from beaches and islands to local food and culture as well as community tourism.



The livestreaming trip is expected to reach 50 million users, and to inspire more travel among Chinese travellers to Phuket, Krabi and Phang-nga, using the convenient direct flights to Phuket from Beijing and other Chinese cities.

Kuaishou currently has 363 million users per day and 626 million users per month. (TAT)
