74 monks to be ordained for HM the King’s birthday in Sattahip

The Royal Thai Navy organized a mass monk-ordination ceremony to honor HM the King for his 87th birthday.

Vice Adm. Viphak Noijinda presided over the head-shaving ceremony for the 74 monks-to-be, who will be ordained Dec. 5 at Khao Bamphenbun Temple in Najomtien.

Viphak said the public and government wanted to express their loyalty and gratitude to HM the King by inviting the monk’s committee, chief of the Najomtien monk’s committee and Khao Bamphenbun Temple’s abbot to conduct the ordination ceremony.
