SEOUL, Dec 9 – Seoul has been named the best destination for international business meetings by a premier U.S. travel magazine for a third straight year, the municipal government said Tuesday.
The honor, one of 60 categories offered by the Business Traveler magazine every year, went to Seoul for its versatility, city officials said.
The category, created in 2008, had been dominated by U.S. cities like Dallas, Honolulu and Las Vegas in the first three years. The South Korean capital, however, has won the title every year since 2012.
The annual event also named Korean Airlines Co., South Korea’s largest full-service carrier, the best airline in Asia. Its rival Asiana Airlines Inc. was given the title Best Overall Inflight Experience in the World.
Incheon International Airport, the main gateway to South Korea in the western city of the same name, was the airport with the best duty free shopping, according to the magazine.
