Sports stars from Garden International School (GIS) returned home with a hoard of medals after a hugely successful competition against other British schools in Southeast Asia at the recent Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) sports tournament.

GIS, which is based in Ban Chang near Pattaya, sent a team to Triall International School in Bangkok to take on the other schools at the event.

The boys’ and girls’ teams both came home as swimming champions, while the boys’ also took gold for track and field.  The girls came third in their track and field contest.

After a toughly-fought football tournament, the GIS boys came in as runners-up – and also placed second in the basketball competition.  The GIS girls’ team also did well and finished fourth in their football competition.

The results again confirm GIS’s position as a school that produces outstanding young athletes who are capable of competing at the very top levels.
