As part of ongoing efforts to elevate content quality, the Public Relations Department (PRD) is shifting its focus to more engaging and easy-to-understand information about government policies and undertakings.

The PRD on Monday (24 July) hosted a seminar to discuss ways of raising the quality of online communication and how online platforms can facilitate public understanding of administrative visions and policies, driven through ‘ID IA IR Chat’. This mechanism propels the work of the PRD as a bridge between the public and government agencies.

In his opening remarks, Caretaker Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Anucha Nakasai told event participants, comprised of mostly PRD officers, that online communication is a double-edged sword.

On the one hand, it is capable of providing people with a better grasp of important information. On the other hand, if a message is unclear or misinterpreted, online channels can potentially cause widespread confusion. (NNT)
