Khao Kheow was the game today, up route 7 for a short 45 minute drive, a swift check-in and off B1 some 15 minutes early in slightly breezy conditions.
Maurice Herberg, Dave Richardson and Mike Coghlan.
The course was in fine shape but as we were about to putt on B6 there was a commotion behind the green and lo and behold 8 monkeys converged on my golf cart before being promptly chased away by the caddies.
Back in the clubhouse, after a round of 4 hours and 15 minutes, welcomes went out to Peter Hammond, Maurice Herberg, Laurina Brinn, Jorn Finnerup, and Susan and Svend Gaarde. We also bid farewell to Steen Habersaat who is heading back to Denmark.
Two flights today with the cut at handicap 20 and a full monty of pins and Mike Allidi won the A flight with a fine 38 points, two ahead of Michele Sancillo in second while Maurice Herberg filled third spot and Kenneth Madsen claimed fourth on count back over Peter Bygballe, Silvano Pizzato, Jan Lovgreen and Richard Kubicki, all on 33 points.
