The Australian Chamber of Commerce (AustCham) was the host for the final joint chamber meeting of the year, with the British Chamber (BCCT), the German Chamber (GTCC), the American Chamber (AMCHAM), and the South African Chamber (SATCC), on Dec. 11, in the grounds of the Amari resort.
The format of the final fling is now well entrenched with wonderful food items from the Amari Executive Chef Aussie Leonard Faust (ask him about the ‘turducken’) and attended by the Amari GM Brendan Daly (another Aussie) in charge of the fireworks.
Renee Bowman, executive director of the AustCham was the MC of the night.
To add to the Australian flavor, H.E. Paul Robilliard, the Australian Ambassador, and R. Greg Wallis, senior trade commissioner, minister-counsellor (commercial) of the Australian Embassy were present after previously addressing the AFG meeting. Leigh Scott Kemmis, president of the AustCham was also present in the official capacity and Renee Bowman, the executive director of the AustCham was the MC.

All the different chambers had representatives there, with AMCHAM’s David Nardone, president and CEO of the Hemraj Land and Development Co., Ltd., and Chris Thatcher, vice chairman of the BCCT.
The other hotels were very well represented with Nikolay Stoyanov, general manager of the Mercure, and Narawadee Thongboonchoo, sales manager of the Mercure in attendance; Watcharapon Chanthaduang, account sales executive of Pattaya Marriot Resort and Spa, Benchamat Phudthiradvittaya, senior sales manager of the Holiday Inn, Chananchida Wonsa-ard, sales manager of the Holiday Inn and Madtiga Sutamchaem, sales executive-catering also of the Holiday Inn.
The sponsor of the evening was Singapore Airlines with Chidapa Tantiprasit representing the airline handing over a free flight to the AFG president Frank Holzer, winner of the lucky draw, and another lucky Aussie!
Another great event and once again, top marks to Amari.
