City plans to build new ferry pier on Koh Larn Island

The new state-of-art landing pier on Koh larn Island will replace the aging ferry pier, which the Pattaya Municipality has maintained for over three decades, enduring numerous repairs over time.

Pattaya, Thailand – Ekkarat Kantharo, Director of the Regional Port Office, Pattaya Branch, shared updates on plans to construct a state-of-the-art ferry pier at Na Ban Koh Larn beach. It is intended to replace the aging ferry pier, which the Pattaya Municipality has maintained for over three decades, enduring numerous repairs over time.



The new pier will be designed to cater to standard passenger ferries, small speedboats, and government missions. With a budget of 250 million baht, the revamped Koh Larn ferry pier will emerge as a contemporary and secure terminal, catering to the needs of both tourists and local residents.



The project is currently in the planning and preparation phase, with budget allocation, procurement processes, and contracting procedures all underway. The construction is estimated to take 2 to 3 years to complete, promising a transformative enhancement to the region’s transportation and tourism infrastructure.
