Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly snatching a gold chain from the neck of a Thai woman.
Jetsada Ritjaroong, 18, and Wittaya Sombatmak, 19, were captured Dec. 24 on Soi Nong Yai 8, about five kilometers from where they allegedly grabbed a half-baht-weight necklace from the neck of Roongfa Trikrung, 28, near the Taengmo Mini-mart in Soi Buakaow.
Roongfa told police she and her boyfriend were walking to have a meal when the two suspects rode close beside her; then Wittaya pulled her necklace free and rode away quickly.
Police said both teens confessed to having committed numerous snatch robberies of tourists and locals.
