5th royal art exhibition set for Feb. 23

More than 400 pieces of artwork depicting the life of HM the King will be on display and for sale when the fifth Royal Exhibition Honoring HM the King runs Feb. 23-March 4 at Central Festival Pattaya Beach.

About 400 pieces of artwork will be on display, about 200 pieces slated to come from Pattaya-area artists. Half the profits from art sales will go to HRH Princess Soamsawalee’s Princess Pa Foundation.

Mana Yaprakam, president of the Pattaya Freelance Artists Group and head of the Pattaya Cultural Council, said artists wanting to offer their pieces can contribute a maximum of two on Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mana Studio on Soi Pothisan.

Artwork must be completed and framed and measure between 40×60 cm and 80×120 cm.

Held every year since 2010, the exhibit this year is themed “The Supreme Artist, 87 Years Old: Follow in Father’s Footsteps.”
