Nongprue residents are thrilled that they don’t have to travel far into the traffic-jammed city anymore to get their Thai citizen ID cards.

PATTAYA, Thailand Following the recent launch of Thai ID card services by Nongprue Municipality, Mayor Winai Inpitak conducted a personal inspection on October 26 to gauge the efficiency and demand for the newly initiated program. During his visit, Mayor Winai engaged with local residents and government officials, uncovering critical insights into the operational dynamics.

The Mayor’s observations revealed a remarkable surge in demand for ID card services, with queues fully occupied by 10 a.m. for both the morning and afternoon sessions. The current service model operates without a midday break. Officials take turns having their meals to maintain consistent queue management and minimal wait times for citizens seeking ID card services.

The daily service capacity is divided into morning and afternoon sessions, with 30 individuals served in each session. This division is intended to prevent overwhelming workloads on officials and serves as a testing phase for system functionality.

As the testing phase progresses, officials remain prepared to adapt and increase the daily service capacity from 60 to 80 citizens if demand continues to rise. The administration plans to acquire additional ID card printing machines. This strategic move aims to mitigate potential disruptions to service caused by technical issues with the existing machine.
