Thailand’s Film Office, a unit under the Department of Tourism, has unveiled its recent records on the ten most popular locations for international filming in Bangkok. This capital city attracts filmmakers because of its modernization, the diversity of Thai traditional and multi-cultural heritage buildings, shopping centers, and street food and street life.
Here are the top ten locations for international filming in Bangkok:
- Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn);
- Skywalk at Chong Nonsi Skytrain station;
- Talad Noi in Bangkok’s China Town;
- Hua Lamphong railway station;
- Asiatique The Riverfront open-air shopping mall;
- Skywalk on the rooftop of Mahanakhon Tower;
- Chatuchak weekend market;
- Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen Temple;
- Iconsiam shopping center;
- Khlong Bang Luang floating market.
Foreign film producers who are interested in shooting in Bangkok may contact the Bangkok Filmmaking Coordinator Center (BFMCC) to facilitate the filming permission in the public areas of Bangkok. (NNT)
