Nightly ‘Vijit Chao Phraya 2023’ phenomenon of light and color shows runs from now until New Year’s Eve

The month-long event will run nightly from 18.00 hr to 22.00 hr, until New Year’s Eve at Rama VIII Bridge and Santichaiprakarn Park, Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), ICONSIAM, Memorial Bridge (Phra Phutta Yodfa Bridge), and River City Bangkok arts and antiques galleries.

Visitors are welcome to immerse themselves in “Vijit Chao Phraya 2023,” an extravagant event with light-and-sound shows, projection mappings, fireworks displays, and cultural performances at six main locations along the Chao Phraya River. The month-long event will run nightly from 18.00 hr to 22.00 hr, until New Year’s Eve.



The main venues that are holding the event include Rama VIII Bridge and Santichaiprakarn Park, Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), ICONSIAM, Memorial Bridge (Phra Phutta Yodfa Bridge), and River City Bangkok arts and antiques galleries. At other locations nearby along the river, spectators can also witness the light-and-sound shows. For the maximum experience, cruise operators are offering sightseeing tours to view the shows up close.

On 31 December, the Vijit Chao Phraya 2023 event will culminate in the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2024, with the main activities scheduled at Wat Arun.



According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Vijit Chao Phraya is being held to highlight the colorful vibes of the Chao Phraya River, while helping to enhance business opportunities for boat excursions, dinner cruises, hotels, and riverside restaurants during the New Year. (NNT)
