Tuesday, 26 December 2023 – Pattavia Golf Course
The last week of the year kicked off with four groups teeing off at Pattavia. The day was marked by pleasant weather – sunny with a cool breeze, and the course was in excellent condition, albeit with challenging greens.
The game was particularly exciting when it came to determining the runner-up. Paul Davies emerged as the undisputed winner with his consistent play and straight drives, scoring 35 Stableford points. Among four players who scored 32 points, Tony Gust clinched the runner-up position on countback. The near pins were claimed by Neil Harvey and Sam Jeffery.
Thursday, 28 December 2023 – Emerald Golf Course
For the final game of the year, the society headed to the Emerald. The day started with a strong breeze that eased by noon. The course was in good condition, with slightly slow but good greens.
The competition for the win was intense, with Willem Lasonder and Maurice Paradis both scoring 36 Stableford points. However, it was Willem who won on countback. The near pins were won by Robert Charbonneau and Allan Cassin.
This concludes the Mabprachan Golf Society’s games for the year. Here’s to more exciting golf in the coming year!
