About 60 skateboarders from across Thailand showed off their best moves as Khanong skateboards promoted its newest model in North Pattaya recently.
Surasak Takna, president of the Khanong skateboarders group, hosted the 3.5-hour event at JJ Market Jan. 31 with skaters from Chonburi, Rayong, Bangkok and Korat grinding and kick-flipping their way to winning a Khanong Series 2 board worth 1,500 baht.
There also was a lucky draw for two Khanong T-shirts. Skater Bobie Slaer Famer won the board.
Surasak invited anyone interested in skateboarding to join the Khanong “family.”
“We are always happy to give advice and suggestions,” he said. Skateboarding is not as dangerous as it appears to be if you know how to ride and prevent injuries.
“If you love challenges, you will fall in love with this sport as I did,” he said.
